Hi there!
Hello!
A lil' more about me
I reside in Macomb MI, with my wife and daughter. I photograph throughout Michigan and Metro Detroit. I am grateful to strike up a conversation to get to know you and help to capture life’s most memorable moments.
A lil’ more about me…I have lived in Michigan all of my life. I’m a Dad, a husband, an artist, a weekend adventurer, an immortalizer of precious and compelling moments to remember.
I like adventure and art. Rainy days with jazz and coffee. Sunny days on the beach, on the road, or on a trail in the woods. My soundtrack is Lofi Chill and Cool Jazz .
I draw inspiration from my of love of the interesting and unique. From the buildings of Albert Kahn( Fisher Building ), W.C Rowland ( Guardian & Penobscot Buildings ) and Louis Kamper (Book Tower &Westin Book Cadillac Hotel ) to the music of the City ... Motown, Third Man Records and of course Destination Jazz with Ed Love. Educating me on all things musically cool!
As a kid, my highlights of adventure have been vast and diverse. Awe inspiring visits to the Detroit Institute of Arts, the Henry Ford Museum/Greenfield Village, touring the Fisher Building or skyline gazing from Belle Isle to squeeze the creative juice that even now, inspire and excite me every time I approach the city.
I've had a front row seat witnessing Detroit's' metamorphosis from my Dad's office window overlooking Grand Circus Park. My dad, Alan Sr. spent fifty year as an automotive Journalist. Chronicling the ebbs and flow of the industry. Some of my best memories are going to the office with my dad for the day .Taking in the view of the city from his office window or going along with him to the press room at Detroit Auto Show, or to the car pool at A&M to pick up the latest motorized offerings that he would sport around town for the weekend for his journalistic analysis. From Corporate consolidations and innovations, to the casualties and adaptations of a new Century. This is how I began to appreciate capturing the images of our selves and our surroundings.
Change, it's is the only constant we can be certain of in life. Photographs, letters and journals are testaments to our foggy memories, loved ones and future generations that we were here, we were there, this in how it was, and "oh yes, I remember this moment."
I like seeking out beauty in the world around us. I love day off adventures with my camera in tow. Petoskey, Port Huron, Irish Hills, Bears Hills Frankenmuth, Clarkston, Lexington I'm ready to go! Country dirt roads, wooded trails and Lake Huron beaches.
